I tried copying the style of the highligted eyes with some sharpies and white out it gave the eye some shine which I liked!

It's called a white pencil.

um...no.  if the paper wasn't white (which I am willing to bet you it is here) then yeah that might work to create the effect you see here, but look at his gallery, no amount of white pencil or paint could make the eyes be as white as they are with the rest of the page being cast in a shadow, the paint would literally have to glow to overcome the shadow.  He is obviously using a photo editing software to lower the contrast of the overall photo then painting the white into the eyes.

Perhaps, but I have used darker paper before and added white for that specific purpose before.  Not all paper is white, there are a variety of shades.  Just the day before yesterday I almost bought some grey sketch paper.
Than again, you could be right and it COULD be photoshop, I'm just saying that isn't the only option.

I seriously don't see what peoples problems are, if you don't like certain art, then why the hell are you looking at it and commenting

Problem isn't 'liking'

It's clearly not a traditionally drawn picture, and a rather banal series of heavily digitally retouches sketches, that seem over and over get categorized under 'Traditional Art'.

Problem is a mistake he/she is making and the questions it raises: 'OMG, BUT HOW does he do that?' Anwser: He simply DOES NOT.
If an amateur/ beginning artist cannot see  it through, well  there are people who can and will point it out.

I never noticed until i read your comment.....
I always assumed people wouldnt think it was traditional...but some people really DO think that...which makes me worried o_O since when could pencils do that?

I kinda like the sketches.... A bit too much of the same thing sometimes...
But some eyes have lots of detail......
i agree that it shouldnt be in the traditional section though......its mixed media..

it's not that people don't know that it's edited and not traditional in this sense anymore. it's more because it's in the wrong category here. everybody would be suprised too, if i would put some manipulation in the photo-category on dA.

Who cares, If its not what you want to see, don't look at it. Maybe people just click on whatever genre they already have pending. That's what alot of people do.
Films are given the wrong genre sometimes, I don't see anyone bitching about that. People just have to be right don't they.
Also if people are going to "point it out" they don't have to be so cruel about it.

You have entirely missed the point. *sighs*
I didn't say that I didn't like seeing these, reread my comment: problem isn't liking/wanting/appreciating,  I don't mind the sketches. Mistake is a mistake, if it can be corrected, it definitely should be.
Yes, it seems "people just have to be right". Why else are you defending your opinion here and now again? Hehehe :) You could have just ignored my comment.
And you need to run some check on your cruelty values, being technically objective isn't cruel. Just as saying you got something green on your teeth to a person that just had a salad. Unless you rather have them run around like that to ridicule them selves.

it's not that i don't like it. it's just in the wrong category and makes other drawings with actual skill in shadings worthless, because they did not need some tricks like this.

So? This is something that you can fix, quite easily, unlike a film genre.

Would people stop saying "if you don't like it don't look at it"? That's literally like saying no one cares about your opinion if it isn't the most popular one, shut the fuck up and never comment anything negative again. Please get a reality check and realize everyone has an opinion in the world, and you probably aren't going to agree with a lot of them. Just get used to it now and it'll help you in the long run ?? lol

I still don't get who the hell is being "cruel" they're literally just stating facts I've re-read these comments like 3 times already and I can't find how it's cruel

Yeah...he's been getting away with it for months, no one seems to care that it's heavily photoshopped to look like its glowing; and a whole pile of people don't realise and think he's some traditional art wizard.

that's what saddens me. i mean, the drawings are alright, nothing bad about it. but it puts a whole category (traditional) in a bad light.
there are so many skillfull artists that get nothing of attention like he gets, with 90% of the questions how he makes the eyes glow. i mean wtf?
that's sad.

Yeah, I said the exact same thing a few months back but no one seems to care. Then again no one cares about all the stolen works and the hoards of pictures of girls showing off their boobs

im pretty new here and glad to hear some of you calling shit out. Especially when passing art of as traditional when it is not.

Also, Im a fan of boobs but I was perplexed as to why there are so many models on here that are not artists. I didn't know this site was also a modeling agency.
